Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park!
Yes, today – after 953 days since Congress approved it’s establishment under the National Park Service banner – the falls of the Passiac River in New Jersey have been officially dedicated as a NPS site.
The scenic waterfall is one of the largest in the U.S. and is located some 15 or so miles west of Manhattan in Paterson, NJ.
I don’t know much more about the site, but it’s within driving range of Roady HQ. I may have to check it out soon!
Love it! I’m heading out there in a couple weeks to see it as a rechristened NPS. It’s been at least 7 years since I viewed these falls. Can’t wait!
