I created the Weekend Roady in the Summer of 2011 – though it had been about 29 years in the making. The stories of my journeys of the prior three decades and wherever I decides to go in the meantime will (hopefully) find its way on to this blog.
I currently resides in Oregon and holds down a full-time academic library gig when I’m not out and about. I spent most of my developing years in Billings, Montana, dreaming of becoming a sports writer (a dream I achieved when I spent six years with the Billings Gazette). I moved on to (slightly) better paying work in Washington, D.C. before switching coasts and settling in the Willamette Valley.
I met the love of my life, Breeah, in 2010 and we were engaged in May of 2016. By the time we marry, we would have visited all fifty states together, I guess that’s about as good a “test run” as any relationship can have. We love hitting the road or flying the friendly skies as a team – it’s just so much more fun to travel together!

This is wonderful. I’ll be sure to tell my 510 N. Broadway group about it!
I love this. I feel like I can see all of America from my computer.
Hi Philip- I will be visiting Waterton NP, Banff, LL & Jasper in July and after doing much research on the web I found your site to be the single most comprehensive information offered! Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge of the Canadian Rockies. Will be spending 15 glorious days there (second time). Keep up the great work on your site.
